About Us

Dazzelustrous is an up and coming company offering exotic hand-crafted jewellery and accessories for all the fashion lovers out there. Our jewellery and accessories are ideal for special occasions.

We also create delicate pieces for everyday wear. We use semi precious stones and beads (specifically Krobo) African trade bead. Beads has been worn since time began, in ceremonies, for beautification, for talismanic purposes, or healing, to denote status, or as symbols of wealth.

Beads were also used as trade items. In Africa particularly, history is inextricably intertwined with bead. Krobo beads are recycled out of broken and unusable bottles and a great variety of other scrap glasses. Majority of these beads are made in (Krobo Odumase) Ghana.

The uniqueness of these beads are that they are individually cast in clay moulds and fired in a wood burning kiln. After the beads have been removed from the mould and cooled, they are hand decorated and re-fired.

The whole process is quite complex especially with multiple colours and designs. Traditions have it that beads are collected and handed down through the generations.

Our Story

It all started in 2015 when I (founder) was working as a Store Manager in a company that was going through tough times and had no way out other than filing for Administration. I always wanted to start my own business and this was the push I needed. I decided to go into the jewellery market as I have great love for jewellery “I mean what woman doesn’t.”

I previously worked for a well known accessories company so that was to help me in my venture. I contacted my sister in Ghana (West Africa) about my idea and together we came up with creating hand-crafted jewellery and accessories which was taking Africa by storm.

My sister started taking regular craftsmanship classes and “well the rest is history.”
All our products are crafted in Ghana with a selection of our jewellery created by myself here in the UK.

We hope our history and culture will spread and be touched by the world through every creation.
